Player Guide

How to play with the bot — earn, spend, shop, teleport, and more.

Player Guide

Everything you can do with RefugeBot on this server — earning and spending your in-game currency, the web hub, the shop, the player marketplace, mail, teleports, and the full list of chat commands.

A note on currency names and amounts. Every server operator picks their own name for the main currency (often Coins) and, on some servers, a second premium currency (often Gold). They also set every reward amount and cooldown. This guide says "your server's currency" and lists the default numbers in brackets — your server may differ. Check the exact words and totals in-game with /balance.

1. Getting started

You don't have to sign up for anything to start playing with the bot. The moment you connect to the 7 Days to Die server, RefugeBot creates your player record and wallet, tied to your Steam account. From there:

  • Open the in-game chat and type /help to see every command available to you.
  • Type /balance to see your wallet and any perks you have.

That's it — all earning and spending works straight from chat. You only need the website and Discord (below) for the richer web hub: the visual shop, the player-to-player bazaar, mail, the live map, and leaderboards.

Open the web hub

From inside the game, type /webshop and confirm the "Open browser?" prompt that pops up in the Steam Overlay. That takes you straight to your server's web hub, already signed in via Steam. (You can also visit the server's web address and click Sign in with Steam — there's no separate password. Your session lasts 30 days.)

  • /website opens the server's homepage (if the operator set one).
  • /discord opens the server's Discord invite (if set).

The Steam Overlay must be enabled for the in-game popups to work. If /webshop says it can't locate you, move once in-game so the server knows your position, then try again.

Linking ties your Steam and Discord identities together so the bot recognizes you in both places — and pays a one-time first-link reward (default 100, operator-configurable; can be turned off).

  1. In game, type /linkdiscord. The bot PMs you a 6-character code.
  2. In the server's Discord, run /link <code> within 10 minutes.
  3. On your first successful link, the reward lands in your wallet.

Re-linking later pays nothing. Use /unlinkdiscord in game to unbind.

2. Earning your server's currency

There are lots of ways to earn. Most of them are boosted by your donor multiplier if you're a supporter (see §6).

How Command Default Notes
Daily reward /daily 500, every 24 h Builds a login streak each claim. Multiplier applies.
Playtime drip (automatic) 2 / minute Just be online. Multiplier applies. Operator can disable.
Zombie kills (automatic) 1 / kill Paid in the background as you fight. Multiplier applies.
Blood moon survival (automatic) 500 Be online when the horde ends. Bumps your "Blood Moons Survived" stat.
Voting /vote 50 (+ items) Vote on the server's listing, then claim. /votelink opens the vote page.
Free random item /gimme every 6 h One random item from the server's pool. Not currency, but free loot.
Starter kit /starterkit one-time The new-player bundle (same one you may have gotten on first join).
Gifts (from friends) Another player can /pay you <amount>.

Details

  • /daily — Claims the daily reward and ticks up your streak. If you claim too early, the bot tells you how long until it's ready.
  • Blood moon top bonus — If the operator enables it, the top 3 horde-killers get extra (defaults 200 / 150 / 100), and 1st place has a small chance (default 10%) at a premium-currency jackpot on dual-currency servers.
  • /vote — Vote for the server on its listing page first, then come back and type /vote to claim. Requires the operator to have set up the vote key; if not, the command tells you so.
  • /gimme — Free item on a cooldown. You must be in-world (it needs your position). Operators set the pool and can weight the odds.
  • /starterkit — One claim per player, ever. If you already got the bundle on your first join, this says it's already claimed.

Gambling (/slots) can earn or lose currency — see §5.

3. Checking your balances and standing

Command Shows
/balance (or /coins) Your wallet, donor tier + multiplier, economy role + uses left, and gold balance (if enabled).
/goldbalance Just your premium-currency balance (dual-currency servers only).
/playtime Hours played, lifetime zombie kills, blood moons survived.
/top The 5 wealthiest players on the server.

The currency words in these messages are whatever your operator named them.

4. Spending your currency

The item shop — /shop, /buy

  • /shop lists the catalog, 5 items per page. Use /shop 2 for the next page. Each row shows an ID and a price.
  • /buy <id> purchases that item. Your balance is deducted and the item is delivered to your inventory. If you're offline or mid-action, it queues and arrives on your next login.
  • Not enough currency? The bot shows the price versus your balance.

You can also browse and buy visually on the web hub (the Server Shop tab).

The premium / gold shop — /gold, /gbuy

On servers with a second currency:

  • /gold (or /goldshop) lists premium items and shows your gold balance.
  • /gbuy <id> buys one.

These do nothing on single-currency servers.

Packs — /packs, /redeem

Packs are curated item bundles. Some are free, some cost currency, some are gated to donor tiers or limited per player.

  • /packs (or /pack) lists available packs with cost and any donor requirement.
  • /redeem <slug> claims one. The cost is deducted (gold if the pack is priced in gold, otherwise coins) and the items are delivered.

The bot tells you if you're on cooldown, over the per-player limit, or missing the required donor tier.

Pay another player — /pay

  • /pay <player> <amount> transfers currency to another player.
  • On dual-currency servers, add gold as a third word to send the premium currency: /pay <player> <amount> gold.
  • You can't pay yourself, the amount must be positive, and you need the funds. The recipient gets a PM if they're online. Every transfer is logged.

Quality-of-life sinks

Command Default cost What it does
/beammeupscotty 10 Lifts you straight up for a parachute drop. Fee refunded if it fails.
/soil free Delivers 300 top soil to your inventory.
/findbike, /find4x4, /findgyro, /finddrone free Locate your lost vehicle.

5. Fun & games

Fight Arena — /fight

Pay an entry cost to start a timed zombie-kill challenge. Clear the required kills to win a currency reward.

  • Type /fight to enter (confirm if prompted). Add a difficulty to override the auto-tier: /fight easy|normal|hard|nightmare.
  • Defaults: entry 50, reward 150, 5 kills, with a cooldown between fights — all operator-set. Tougher tiers spawn harder zombies but pay more.
  • Kills only count near the arena. It's a net earner if you win, a sink if you don't.

Slots — /slots

A 3-reel slot machine. /slots <bet> (bet 1010000). Matching reels pay multiples of your bet; big wins are announced server-wide. Three jackpot symbols pay the most; three plain stars lose your bet. Treat it as entertainment, not income.

6. Donor perks

If you support the server, donors get:

  • An earning multiplier applied to daily, playtime, kills, and blood-moon rewards (not flat admin grants).
  • Optional monthly currency grants.
  • A one-time donor item pack (claim with /donor).
  • Extra teleport (/settp) slots.
  • On tiers that allow it, the ability to run your own bazaar (see §8).

Activating your tier: after the operator records your donation, type /donoractivate in game. It grants a one-time bonus and switches on your perks. Then type /donor once to receive your tier's item pack. Check your tier, multiplier, and monthly amounts anytime with /balance.

Chat color

  • /chatcolor lists the color palette and shows your current color. Pick one with /pickcolor <number>, or set a custom hex with /chatcolor #RRGGBB. /chatcolor clear removes it.

7. Teleporting

Personal teleport points — /settp, /tp

  • /settp <name> saves your current spot as a personal teleport point.
  • /tp <name> teleports you there (after a short delay so the world can load).
  • /tplist lists your saved points.
  • /deletetp <name> (or /deltp) removes one.

How many points you can save depends on your donor tier.

Public waypoints — /ftw

Admins set up shared waypoints anyone can travel to.

  • /wplist (or /ftwlist) lists every public waypoint.
  • /ftw <name> teleports you to one.

Teleport to a friend — /friend

If the operator enabled friend teleport:

  • /friend <player> asks to teleport to that online player. They get a prompt.
  • The target types /friend accept (or yes/y) or /friend deny (or no/n). You can /friend cancel your own pending request.
  • There's a per-request cooldown, and prompts expire after a timeout.

Adventure mode — /adventure

/adventure toggles a mode that teleports you around the map to explore (where the operator has enabled it).

8. The web hub

Open it with /webshop or by signing in at the server's web address. Tabs:

Profile

Your dashboard: coin and gold balances, donor tier, daily streak, playtime, zombie kills, blood moons, longest life, distance walked, items crafted. You can open your Skills and Inventory (when you're online in-game), and a Become a supporter button if the operator set a donation link.

Server Shop

The visual version of /shop — browse the catalog with item icons, see prices, and buy. Purchases deliver in-game (queued if you're offline).

Bazaars (player marketplace)

A player-driven marketplace. Browse other players' storefronts, open one to see its listings, and buy items from them with your currency. Each bazaar can have a banner and a name.

My Bazaar

Run your own storefront (usually a donor perk — your tier must grant bazaar access). List items straight from your in-game inventory, set coin and/or gold prices, manage or cancel active listings, and see your recent sales history.

Mail

A private inbox.

  • Inbox / Sent / Blocked folders. Unread mail shows a red dot; the Mail tab badge shows your unread count.
  • Click a message to read the full thread. Reply to keep the conversation linked, or Compose a new message to any player (pick a recipient, optional subject, required body).
  • Block unwanted senders (find them again in the Blocked folder to unblock). Admin and system messages always get through.
  • Delete removes a message from your view.

Map

A live, pannable map of the world showing your homes (cyan), public waypoints (gold), and your own current or last-logged-off location. Toggle each layer, hover a pin for its details, and Teleport to a home or waypoint (only while you're online in-game). Your position re-polls every ~10 seconds.

Leaderboard

PvE rankings: zombie kills, blood moons survived, playtime, daily streak, distance walked, items crafted, longest life, and most deaths. Each card shows the top 5 with medals; your own rank shows in the footer if you're outside the top 5. Click a card to see the full list (up to 200), or click a player to open their public profile — where you can Send a message or Block them. (Public profiles never show balances, inventory, or purchases.)

9. Other handy commands

Command What it does
/help The full in-game command list, tailored to this server.
/ping Quick "is the bot alive?" check — replies pong.
/roleinfo Lists the economy roles available and what each does.
/confirm, /cancel Acknowledge or cancel a pending warning.

Economy roles

If an admin assigns you an economy role (like /medic or /repairman), you get a personal command that performs role actions — heal, repair your held item, or hand out role items — a limited number of times per day (resets at midnight). Type /roleinfo to see the roles; if you have one, type its command (optionally with a target name, e.g. /medic Bob). Your role and uses left also show in /balance.

10. Full player command reference
